CAPACITY BUILDING PROGRAMME ON COMPETENCY BASED ASSESSMENT (SECONDARY LEVEL)

A two-day Capacity Building Workshop was organised by COE Noida on the theme Competency based Assessment for the Secondary Level from April 27- 28, 2024 in Somerville School, Greater Noida was attended by Ms Preeti Ghai. The purpose of the workshop was to develop good quality questions as per the NEP 2020 guidelines. Different types of questions based on the format, types of responses and cognitive skills  were discussed in detail along with their advantages and disadvantages.The Resource persons, Ms. Shalini Chauhan and Ms. Rajni Mahajan dispelled  misconceptions and doubts related to question framing, offering teachers new ideas and strategies for stimulating the minds of students. The workshop proved to be an enriching and educating experience, providing participants with valuable insights, practical strategies, and collaborative exercises to enhance their teaching practices.

Innovation, Design and Entrepreneurship (IDE), Boot Camp

A two-day Innovation, Design and Entrepreneurship (IDE) boot camp training session was organised on April 9-10,2024 by the Department of School Education and Literacy, Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Educations Innovation Cell (MIC), AICTE, and the NCERT. It was an academic collaboration program along with PARAKH and CBSE at NIET, Greater Noida. The  aim was to nurture the Innovation, Design, and Entrepreneurship skills of the students, innovators, and teachers. There were multiple sessions conducted by eminent speakers like Dr Ruchi Gautam Pant, Entrepreneurship Educator, Wadhwani Foundation ,Dr. Aashna Narula, Founder Director Psychopedia,Dr P.V. Madhusudhan Rai, Professor and Dean IIT Delhi. The students  visited a few labs and had real-time exposure to MV laser printing, flex printing, robotic arms, and the metaverse.The sessions were very informative and enriching.It broadened the students perception of innovation, design, and entrepreneurship.
