“Travel opens your heart, broadens your mind, and fills your life with stories to tell”
Children who experience holistic development during their school years grow up to become global citizens. As important as it is to learn Math and English, it is equally necessary to give equal weightage to both indoor as well as outdoor activities which will prepare children for what lies outside in the real world and thus contribute to a well-rounded education. The school organises trips and excursions during Summer/October and December breaks.

STELLAR SOJOURN: AN ASTRONOMICAL EXPEDITION TO ARIES OBSERVATORY AND JIM CORBETT NATIONAL PARK.

“In the vast expanse of the cosmos, we find not only the mysteries of the universe but also the wonders of our own curiosity.” – Unknown

An educational outstation visit was organized for classes VII to IX to Jim Corbett National Park and ARIES Observatory, Nainital, from May 14 to May 16,2024. The purpose of the trip was to develop and enhance observational skills and foster curiosity for astronomical sciences among students. The journey commenced with transportation from the school to Ramnagar, Uttarakhand, where students enjoyed a luxurious stay at the Grand Corbett Resort. Day one featured thrilling adventure activities such as Ziplining and Sky Jumping at the adventure park, followed by an enlightening session on astronomy basics and telescope observations of the Beehive cluster and the moon in the resort. On day two, students visited Aryabhatta Research Institute of Observational Sciences (ARIES), engaging in sunspot spotting and leisure activities at Mall Road. The main attraction of the day was the 104cm astronomical telescope, known as Sampurnanand. This RC reflector with a Cassegrain focus is mounted on an equatorial 2-pier English mount, providing students with a unique and immersive experience in astronomical observation. A Rocket Making session and DJ Night added excitement to the evening. The final day began with a Jungle Safari at Jim Corbett National Park, offering students sightings of diverse wildlife. Leaving with cherished memories and enriched knowledge, the students returned to school, the trip serving as an enriching blend of adventure, learning, and exploration.
