CLASS XII ORIENTATION PROGRAMME FOR SECOND TERM
The orientation programme for Class XII students was organized on 28.12.2021. It was also focussed that the second term has limited time and there is a need for discipline in students whether it is attending classes regularly or taking up internal assessments seriously. The coordinators’ Ms Mamta Rishi and Ms Deepa Wadhwa explained the Academic Plan for the 2nd term to be followed by the school in sync with CBSE guidelines. The programme was attended by 100, students and teachers.
CLASS X ORIENTATION PROGRAMME FOR SECOND TERM
Cambridge School Noida conducted an orientation programme for the parents of class X students on 18th December 2021 in the school auditorium. The school Principal, Ms. Preeti Sangwan in her welcome address emphasised upon the need for proactive and meaningful interactions between the teachers and parents for the holistic development of the students. The Principal appreciated the active involvement of the parents and advised the parents to ensure that their wards regularly attend the classes, appear for assessments and submit assignments.
The Co-ordinators of classes IX and X, Ms. Kiran Sibal and Ms. Jyoti Joshi briefed the parents about the CBSE directions regarding Term II and the examination pattern. Comprehensive information on the periodic assessments, rules of absence, remediation and the annual examination were shared with the parents. The school counsellor, Ms. Garima Seth apprised the parents about the availability of counselling facilities in the school.
The parents appreciated the concerted efforts of the school. In the open house/interactive session, the specific concerns raised by the parents were addressed by the Principal and the Coordinators. The Principal, Ms. Preeti Sangwan thanked the parents for their presence and intimated that their valuable feedback is essential and the school attaches a lot of importance to it.
CLASS XII ORIENTATION PROGRAMME FOR SECOND TERM
The orientation programme began with Principal, Ms Preeti Sangwan address on First term Board examination and challenges faced thereon. It was also focussed that the second term has limited time and there is a need of discipline in students whether it is attending classes regularly or taking up internal assessments seriously. Then Ms Roomki, Special educator and child psychologist addressed the students and parents with the socio-emotional challenges faced and the ways to cope up with them . Special mention was made that parents regular touch with their child goes a long way in helping students to face challenges of all sorts . The moderator for the event was Ms Sushmita Dey. The programme was attended by 70 parents, students and teachers.
Finally, at the end in the question -answer session the Principal and the Vice Principal Ms. Nandita Sinha Roy addressed the queries and concerns of the parents
SESSION WITH CLASS X REGARDING CHANGED EVALUATION PATTERN
The coordinators of Class IX and X conducted a session with Class X on 10th August 2021 to apprise them about the evaluation pattern for session 2021-22 in both scholastic and co scholastic areas. The assessment pattern was explained in detail, the possibilities of conducting exams as communicated by CBSE was also explained to them. The students were also informed that the curriculum planner (at a glance – about the syllabus and other parameters) is uploaded on the website. The idea of portfolio, HPE and Art integration was explained in detail. 180 participants attended the session.
ORIENTATION PROGRAMME CLASS VI, SESSION 2021-22
A Parent Orientation programme was organised for the students and parents of Class VI of Cambridge School, Noida, on 17th July 2021. Around 120 parents and students attended the orientation programme. The programme began with a prayer followed by an address by the Principal, Ms Preeti Sangwan. She informed the parents about the changes in the assessment pattern for class VI as well as encouraged the students to practice self-directed learning. This was followed by a presentation by the Coordinators of VI-VIII; Ms Vasundhara Kaushik and Ms Jennifer De Castro. Subject Teachers of Mathematics, Science and English briefed the parents and students about continuous assessment, assessment cycle and components of assessment in their subject respectively.
The special educator, Ms Roomki Mitra apprised the parents and students about the importance of practising mindfulness and establishing a routine. She guided the parents to continuously encourage their children to read and have a balanced diet to stay physically and mentally fit in these trying times.
Ms Bindu Murlidhran informed the parents and students about ATL and various activities conducted during its classes.
After the presentation, there was an open interaction with the parents and students, in which their queries were answered by the principal and the coordinators.
ORIENTATION PROGRAMME OF CLASS XII- SESSION 2021-22
WELCOME CLASS XI
A two day programme was organised on June 14, 2021 and June 15 , 2021 to welcome class XI students in their new session . A small prayer, the Principal’s address , talk by Alumni- Aakash Rohilla, Vidhi and Abhishree Bani urging all not to be afraid of failures , the Headboys and girls- Kartik Kalra, Shashwat Mehrotra, Jyotika Tomar and Amrita Beruha sharing the kind of opportunities school provided and Kshitij Vedi, the school music prodigy treating all to a latest bollywood musical medley were the main highlights . Mr. Ashish Garg from Pratham Institute enlightened them about Cyber Bullying . The programme attended by over 160 students was a learning experience for all.
INTERACTION SESSION WITH THE PARENTS OF CLASS XI STUDENTS (2021-22)
A virtual Interaction session was organised with the parents of Class XI students(2021-22) on Tuesday, June 1,2021. About 75 parents attended the session. The programme began with a warm welcome and a one minute silence to pay tribute to those who’ve lost their lives during the pandemic. The Principal discussed the impact of cancellation of Class X Board exams and the main highlights of the guidelines issued by CBSE. She informed the parents that classes for grade XI would begin from June 14, 2021.Various queries on possibility of change of streams after result, fees issues etc. were answered.
The Interaction was followed by a Career Counselling session by Mr. Ashish Jain, eminent Counsellor. He spoke about various stream choices available for students.
ORIENTATION PROGRAMME CLASS X, SESSION 2021-22
A Parent Orientation programme was organised for the students and parents of Class X of Cambridge School, Noida, on April 17th, 2021 from 8.30-9.30 am.
Around 110 parents and students attended the orientation programme. The programme began with an address by the Principal , Ms. Preeti Sangwan. She advised the parents and children about ways to manage their physical and mental well being in the ongoing pandemic times. This was followed by a presentation by the coordinators of IX-X, Ms. Jyoti Joshi and Ms. Kiran Sibal, Ms. Jyoti Joshi briefed the parents and students about the ground rules for online classes, attendance criteria,, registration process evaluation pattern, vocational subjects, introduction of two levels of mathematics in Class X and co-scholastic areas.
The special educator, Ms. Roomki appraised the parents about the counselling and special educator facilities in the school. She guided the parents to continuously encourage their children.
