ORIENTATION PROGRAMME FOR PARENTS OF CLASS VI
Cambridge School, Noida organised an Orientation Programme for the parents of classes VI in the Roma Deb Auditorium on 7thApril, 2018.
The Principal, Ms. DipannitaMondal in her welcome address urged the parents to be more communicative, sensitive towards their children’s problems. She recommended that the parents need to take care of their wards’ nutrition, health and hygiene. The Middle School Coordinators, Ms. Jyoti Agarwal and Ms. Vasundhra Kaushik briefed the parents about the school motto, vision, mission and the various facilities available in the school. Ms. Vasundhara explained the criteria for assessment in scholastic and co- scholastic areas. The French and German teachers gave valuable inputs regarding their subjects. This was followed by an interactive session and the concerns raised by the parents regarding various issues pertaining to the school administration and academics was answered by Ms. Nandita Sinha Roy, Vice Principal, Academics much to the satisfaction of the parents. The session concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Ms. Jyoti Agarwal, the Middle School Coordinator.
ORIENTATION PROGRAMME FOR CLASSES VII AND VIII
The Orientation programmefor Classes VII and VIII was organised on 21stApril, 2018 at Cambridge School, Noida in the Roma Deb Auditorium. The programme commenced with a poem recital by Ms. Jyoti Agarwal followed by the welcome address by the School Principal Ms. DipannitaMondal. She askedthe parents to be more communicative and sensitive towards their children’s problems. In her address she highlighted the importance of the safety and security of students while boarding and getting off the school bus at the designated stop. She concludedby urging the parents to take care of the nutrition, health and hygiene of the children and to give a patient hearing to their concerns.
Middle School Coordinators Ms. Jyoti Agarwal and Ms. Vasundhara Kaushik briefed the parentsabout the school motto, vision, mission; various facilities available in the school, British Council International School Award Activities, value based education, educational tours, etc. Ms. Vasundhara explained the criteria for assessment in Scholastic and Co- Scholastic areas.Subject enrichment activities in various subjects and criteria for assessing notebooks were alsomentioned.
Parents’ concerns related to smart boards, inclusion of Robotics in work education, non-availability of some textbooks (English and Hindi supplementary books), details of activities conducted in subject enrichment were satisfactorily answered by the Coordinators.The programme ended with Ms. Jyoti Agarwal proposing the vote of thanks.
ORIENTATION PROGRAMME FOR PARENTS (IX &X)
Cambridge School Noida conducted an orientation programme for the parents of Class IX and X students on 19thMay, 2018 at the Roma Deb Auditorium. Ms. DipannitaMondal, the Principal in her welcome address emphasised upon the need for proactive and meaningful interactions between the teachers and parents for the holistic development of the students. The Principal urged the parents to have a ‘strong connect’ with their children and channelize their energy in a positive direction. She emphasised upon the need to be sensitive towards the specially-abled children and to have regular interactions with the school counsellor and special educator regarding their progress. Alluding the parents’ concerns, the Principal assured them that the school is actively working towards providing better transport facilities. She reiterated that whilst the school would provide complete support for the overall development of the students, there won’t be any dilution in the school promotion policies. The Principal appreciated the active involvement of the parents and intimated that their constructive feedback and suggestions are essential and the school attaches a lot of importance to them.
Class coordinators, Ms. Kiran Sibal and Ms. Puneet Kaur briefed the parents about the school’s philosophy, the guiding principles and the rules and regulations. Comprehensive information on the CBSE Evaluation Pattern and the promotion criteria was shared with the parents. This was followed by an interactive session wherein the specific concerns raised by the parents were addressed by Ms Nandita Sinha Roy, Vice Principal (Academics).
